Privacy policy. In plain words.
What we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Updated 6 October 2026.
The short version
- Our website sets no cookies of its own. It only remembers your cookie choice, in your browser.
- We count visits with Plausible Analytics, which uses no cookies and collects no personal data.
- We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context advertising.
- When a business uses Aldo, Aldente Verify or Aldente Vision, we handle its data for it, under its agreement with us.
- To ask about your data, write to support@aldenteai.com.
Who we are and what this covers
Aldente AI (“Aldente”, “we”, “us”) runs aldenteai.com and makes Aldo, Aldente Verify and Aldente Vision.
This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit this website, book a call with us or email us, and what we do with it. For that information, Aldente is the controller: we decide how it is used.
It also explains our role when businesses use our products. For the data a business connects, that business is the controller and Aldente is its processor, or “service provider”. See when a business uses our products.
Information we collect
When you visit this website
We count visits with Plausible Analytics. It sets no cookies and collects no personal data. We see totals only: the pages viewed, the site that sent you, your browser, device type and country. Your IP address is not stored.
The site remembers your cookie choice in your browser’s local storage, under the name “aldente-consent”, for 12 months. It stays in your browser. Our cookie policy has the details.
Like any website, the servers that host it receive the technical details your browser sends with each request, such as your IP address, so they can deliver the pages.
When you book a call
The demo page uses Calendly to book calls. When you book, Calendly collects your name, email address, time zone and any answers you give, and passes them to us.
Calendly asks for its own cookie consent on the demo page, unless you have accepted marketing cookies on this site, and sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
When you email us
When you write to support@aldenteai.com, we receive your email address, your message and anything else you include.
When a business uses our products
Aldo, Aldente Verify and Aldente Vision work with data that our business customers connect: camera footage, order and POS records, staff and schedule records, and messages in Slack, Telegram or WhatsApp. This can include information about staff and guests.
We process this data for the customer, on its instructions and under its agreement with us. The customer is the controller and decides why and how the data is used. Aldente is its processor, or “service provider”.
If you work at or visit one of our customers and have a question about your data, please contact that business first. If you write to us, we will pass your request to the business and help it respond.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- run, secure and improve this website, using the totals from Plausible
- arrange the calls you book, hold them and follow up afterwards
- answer your emails and questions
- provide Aldo, Aldente Verify and Aldente Vision to our customers, as their agreements set out
- meet our legal obligations and protect our rights
We use customer data in our products only as the customer’s agreement allows.
Legal bases
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR and UK GDPR require a legal basis for each use of your personal information. We rely on these:
- Contract
- To take the steps you ask for before a contract, such as booking a call, and to provide our services to customers.
- Legitimate interests
- To run, secure and improve our website, to answer questions, and to follow up with businesses interested in our products. We rely on this only when your rights do not outweigh these interests.
- Consent
- Where we ask for it, such as for marketing cookies. You can withdraw it at any time in .
- Legal obligation
- When the law requires us to keep or share information.
For customer data in our products, the customer decides the legal basis, as the controller.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers that process it for us, under contract:
- Calendly, to book calls.
- Plausible Analytics, to count visits. It stores no personal data.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our website and services.
- Email and business software we use to run the company and answer you.
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or if Aldente is part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. In that case your information stays protected by this policy.
Customer data in our products is shared only as the customer’s agreement allows.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
International transfers
Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, including outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Those countries may have different data protection laws.
When we transfer personal information across borders, we use the safeguards the law requires.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy, or as long as the law requires.
- Your cookie choice: 12 months in your browser, then we ask again.
- Visit statistics: Plausible keeps totals only, with no personal data.
- Bookings and emails: while we are in touch with you, and for a reasonable time afterwards. You can ask us to delete them sooner.
- Customer data: for the period set in the customer’s agreement. Customers can set how long footage and records are kept, per location.
Security
We protect personal information with technical and organisational measures suited to the risk. Our Security page explains how we protect customer data.
If you think something is wrong, tell us at support@aldenteai.com.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of your personal information (access)
- correct it if it is wrong
- delete it
- stop using it for some purposes (objection)
- limit how we use it (restriction)
- send it to you or to another company in a common format (portability)
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect what we did before.
To use any of these rights, write to support@aldenteai.com. We may need to confirm who you are first. We reply within the time the law sets, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.
You can also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, for example where you live or work. We would welcome the chance to help first.
If you live in California
California law gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and share it, and to ask us to delete or correct it. You can also opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. We do not sell it or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. You can make a request through an authorised agent, and we will not discriminate against you for using your rights.
If your data is in our products
If your information is in one of our customers’ workspaces, that business handles your request, and we help it respond.
Children
This website is for businesses. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. If we make a significant change, we will say so here.
